Two of GRC advisory board members are newly elected as American NAS members

The National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America announced on May 3rd the election of 72 new members and 18 foreign associates from 14 countries in recognition of their distinguished and continuing achievements in original research.

Among the elected members, Dr. Chien, Shu, who is currently the director of Whitaker Institute of Biomedical Engineering, University Professor of Bioengineering and Medicine as well as the chairperson of the department of bioengineering, University of California, San Diego, La Jolla. Dr. Chien is actively involved in the International Advisory Board of the Academia Sinica Genomics Research Center.

Of the newly elected foreign associates, Dr. Chen, Ding-Shinn, who is currently the dean and professor of medicine at National Taiwan University College of Medicine, Taipei (Taiwan), has been working closely with GRC as a domestic advisory board member.
