Dr. Tse-Wen Chang, a Distinguished Research Fellow at the Genomics Research Center, attended the 90th CIE-USA Annual Convention to accept a 2007 Distinguished Achievement Award as well as gave a keynote speech - “Anti-IgE for severe asthma and allergy: from bench to clinics to commercialization” on November 10th in Newark, New Jersey. The Chinese Institute of Engineers (CIE) was founded in 1917 in the United States by a group of dedicated and visionary Chinese engineers who graduated from universities and served in the academia and industry in the U.S. It has evolved to harness very diverse engineering disciplines, including telecommunication, civil engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, pharmaceutical science and software engineering, etc.
The CIE achievement award is presented to any person of Chinese origin (or any other origin whose contribution benefited the Chinese society) who has made distinguished achievement in science, engineering or technology.
